Fitment Note: From 1960-69 there was a molded rubber end on each shift lever. This set is an exact reproduction of the original GM bushings produced with stainless steel and rubber to restore functionality your factory shifter. The three levers on the shifter would wear over time causing sloppy and inaccurate shifts. From 1970-79 all GM cars with these shifter were equipped bushings from the factory.

In 1970 GM solved the dilemma by engineering these rubber bushings that snap into holes on shift lever to take up space between and shifter rod. Over time the rubber ends wear disappears and shifter becomes loose. The fix for these pre-1970 cars is to scrape the rubber off lever and install bushings as a retrofit.
